Brittney’s lacrosse highlights started in 2002, when she won the Joanne Stanga Award as the outstanding lacrosse player in Orillia. She went on to play for Canada at the 2003 World Field Lacrosse Championships. Fess was a starting defender and midfielder for Wilfrid Laurier University from 2005-2008 and served as the team’s captain for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. In 2007 Fess was the OUA’s most valuable defensive player, and was named as an OUA first-team all-star twice. Brittney and Jayme started a local fundraiser called Lax for a Cure. Fess also started the Little Lady Kings program in Orillia (2014).
