The Orillia Sports Hall of Fame (OSHoF) was created to become a focal point for local sport history and the celebration of sport and to recognize the outstanding achievements of individual outstanding athletes and builders, both contemporary and historic, who have contributed to the development and success of sport in Orillia and local area.
The first 5 inaugural recipients were inducted April 23, 2015.
It is anticipated that a physical home for the Orillia Sports Hall of Fame will be found in the proposed new Orillia Recreational Centre “Foundry Place” scheduled for development at 255 West Street, Orillia. Donations of local sport history memorabilia are welcome.
Athletes of the Class of 2018 will be officially inducted and celebrated at the Orillia Sport Hall of Fame Dinner, Saturday April 21st, 2018. Tickets are on sale now.
