Cam Devine

Cam Devine was born in Orillia in 1959 and became one of the highest-scoring lacrosse players in the history of the storied game in Ontario. The prolific point producer remains the top scorer in the history of Jr. A lacrosse in Ontario; in one memorable season, he amassed 247 points in just 24 games. His individual accomplishments helped his teams excel; he is one of few lacrosse players to win a triple crown of national championships. In 1980, he and his Whitby C.B.C. Builders squad earned the Minto Cup, in 1985, Devine earned a Mann Cup Canadian Championship with the Brookline Redmen and, in 1989, he helped lead the Owen Sound North Stars to the Canadian lacrosse Association’s Presidents Cup Senior B Championship. Following his playing days, Devine turned to coaching, passing on his passion and love of the sport to generations of young players, helping them to improve their skills and learn the nuances of the game. His crowning achievement as a bench boss came when he was head coach of the Orillia Rodgers Kings, which won back-to-back Founders Cups, emblematic of Jr. B lacrosse supremacy in Canada, in 1994 and 1995.
