Jayme played several sports growing up, but it was lacrosse that became her passion. She played for Canada at the 2003 and 2007 World Field Lacrosse Championships. Davis then played one season of field lacrosse (2007) at Wilfrid Laurier University, where she won OUA rookie-of-the-year honours and was named a first-team all-star. She then earned a scholarship to play at Ohio State University (2008-2010), where she was a star player. Jayme and Brittney (Fess) started a fundraiser that raised over $50,000 locally called Lax for a Cure. Davis’s love for sports has also shaped her career; she helps administer high school sports for the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board. Jayme also received the 2007 Orillia Athlete of the Year Award.
